From the Heart Stamps August Stamp of the Month

From the Heart Stamps August 2013 Stamp of the Month was "Cats Out of the Bag".

Join the fun by buying this month's image and submitting an entry.  Next month, you'll get the Stamp of the Month free.

The image is colored with Copics markers. The sentiment is stamped (but I can't find it to give you the source..so sorry).  I created a mosaic of printed paper behind the image and wove ribbon in and out of the edge of image panel.  Then just a few more layers to finish.

From the Heart Stamps Sketch #28

The image for this one was found free somewhere on the internet.  I apologize to the artist for the lack of a credit. Contact me and I'll happily edit this post.

I made this card for my daughter's boyfriend. The outside says, "You're having a happy birthday when..." and the inside says "You start dancing around and wagging your entire body...Well, what are you waiting for?"

It was made for the From The Heart Stamps Sketch #28 challenge but I never got it posted.

From the Heart Stamps Design Team Call

From the Heart Stamps has a Design Team Call until September 15, 2013.  I used their Necktie Banner image and the sentiment that comes with it to create this Father's Day card as my entry.

I printed the image in two sizes then colored it with Copics markers.  I colored the center image from the larger print in color, cut it out and popped it in the middle of the smaller image which I colored in shades of grey. The other elements in the card were chosen to repeat the color scheme of the ties and to be consistent with a masculine theme.
