Christmas Tag Party

I can hardly believe we've already lived in our lake house for almost two years.  I love it here.  I love the house, our community, and the new friends we've made.   Last night, I hosted our second annual "tag-making" party and five of us came together to make Christmas tags.  Our thinking: why buy something that you CAN make without buying any new supplies and as long as you start before the whole holiday rush begins - it's loads of stress-free fun.

Anyway, the ones I made are shown here.  I spent a little time on each of these but you can also mass produce them if you give lots of gifts.

If you're looking for another reason to get together with your fellow paper-crafters...try a tag-making party.

Happy Halloween or should I say, "Merry Christmas"

Heading home...

I took this photo as we were heading home from what turned out to be our last "sunset cruise" of the season.  What's behind us is beautiful; the current moment is all we can do anything with; but it is where we are going that is most exciting because our lives in their entirety are a journey towards home.

C.S. Lewis once wrote, “God made us: invented us as a man invents an engine. A car is made to run on petrol, and it would not run properly on anything else. Now God designed the human machine to run on Himself. He Himself is the fuel our spirits were designed to burn, or the food our spirits were designed to feed on. There is no other. God cannot give us a happiness and peace apart from Himself, because it is not there. There is no such thing.”

God is our Home.
