From the Heart Stamps October Stamp of the Month &...

07 Oct 2013 - From The Heart Stamps October Stamp of the Month
Three challenges, one card...

For this card...I had three challenges:  use Fall Medley, the FTHS October Stamp of the MonthFTHS Sketch #36 and I challenged myself to use a color scheme I had saved on Pinterest which is shown below
(from Design Seeds).

Of course, I colored the image with my Copics. Since I didn't have two patterned papers that worked with the color scheme, I used some of my Stampin' Up inks to make the paper with leaves for the quarter panels.

Even though the image is a classic fall image, I was hoping that incorporating the blue and using more yellow would make the card less "typical".  Let me know what you think of the results.

Amazing coincidence...

I created this card yesterday...before the weekly sketch challenge by From the Heart Stamps was posted but by some strange coincidence - my card works with FTHS Sketch #37

I bought the image "Ladybug Liftoff" last week and was just looking at it, waiting for it to tell me what to do and it said..."use printed paper cutouts for the balloons and shade them with your Copics, then cut them out so that they go outside a frame". The patterned paper is kind of lost - I picked patterns that were a little too subtle but the idea was solid.  The pop dots to raise the frames and the crystal glaze that gives the balloon/dots added dimension came later.

The mini "Happy Birthday" banners and the scalloped banner at the bottom left of the card are die cuts from My Favorite Things.  The sentiment was done with Stampin' Up's Teeny Tiny Wishes.

The balloon paper was chosen after I colored my image - another lucky coincidence since the colors match so well.  It is "Party Balloons" from  The Paper Studio.
